I pray God works through me and helps you become more educated about caring for your mind, body, and soul, with Him at the center. There is so much more we can learn about ourselves, others, and most of all, God.
Women have been taught to shrink, to stay quiet, and to play nice. But what if our 'messiness' is the very place God meets us? In this upcoming series, I’m writing about my most impulsive, flawed, and chaotic moments—from failing the NCLEX to shattering friendships on a river trip out of sheer panic…. Together, we are going to confront how the patriarchy has weaponized women's emotions against them. I will go into the scripture, tearing down old structures through Galatians 4, and anchoring ourselves in the promises of Isaiah 54. This is a series for the women who have been told they are a 'hard pill to swallow.' Turns out, we are exactly the medicine the world needs!
If we boil the Bible down to a simple (maybe sentence) it is really a love story of a Father trying to love His children. Throughout the Bible, humans mess up, and God comes and fixes it in the way He knows is best for us. So many times reading the Bible I am screaming at the characters to just listen and then I scream at God saying “just start over people are awful.” I never truly understood why God constantly comes to our rescue until I read Judges 19. It is a very difficult read however I was able to see maybe just a fraction of the great love my Father has for me.
The Book of Job has always been hard to read, especially for me. Job is just living his life and is placed at the center of a bet between heaven and hell. We know that everything was stripped from him, but do we really understand the complete impact? Psychologically? Emotionally? Physically? I can’t even begin to imagine the fear Job felt…
The Book of Esther has become one of my favorites. Did you know it is the ONLY book in the entire Bible that does NOT mention God? Esther reminds me of how important it is to be true to your values as a woman. And well, the world is round, and what comes around goes around (is that how that saying goes? haha)
