Learning to be Carried
I’ve spent 27 years trying to be the one holding everything up. I’ve tried to be the fixer, the cycle-breaker, the pillar. But I realized this week that I’ve been confusing my role with my identity. My role is the Nurse, but my identity? My identity is the Nursed.
